1. Gratitude Journal
Even when you’re sad or in a bad mood, a gratitude journal forces you to think positively and write down something good.
I used to journal on and off but it seemed like I would only journal about negative things. Now I have a journal specifically for gratitude where I only write about things I am looking forward to and grateful for. It’s helped reframe my thinking to be much more positive, which is so important if you want to have a good day.
2. Oral Care
After journaling I do my oral care. I always tongue scrape every single morning and do my oil pulling for 5-10 minutes. This is crucial for getting rid of that yucky morning breath.

3. Skin Care
Skin care is a ritual and having a good morning skin care routine can help ground you and set you up for a good day.
I keep my morning skin care routine fairly simple. I oil cleanse, spray some toner, use an eye cream, then apply some moisturizer. I also always use some sort of tool in the morning whether that is gua sha, high frequency, dermaplaning, etc.
This routine helps keep my skin looking fresh all day and it makes me feel great! Whenever I skimp on my morning skin care, my days become chaotic and I just don’t feel like myself.

4. Sunlight
It’s so important to get some morning sun. This helps set your circadiam rhythm, provide mental clarity, boost seratonin, and give you that vitamin D your body desperately needs.
I love going on a morning walk with my cat to get my morning sunlight and move my body. We look forward to it everyday!
5. Animal Based Breakfast

An animal based breakfast contains a mix of meat, eggs, butter, dairy, and fruit. My go-to animal based breakfast is organic chicken sausages from Costco, fried eggs, butter, and milk. I sometimes eat fruit with it, but not all the time.
Eating a breakfast that is packed with protein and fat will ensure you feel your very best throughout the day.

6. Unwind
Pick something you can do to unwind before the day starts. You could listen to music, draw, crochet, meditate, or whatever you like to do to relax. My favorite way to unwind is to watch a TV show that I love. I feel like this helps calm my brain before starting my day.
