This post is all about my review of living libations skincare and my top favorite living libations products I recommend as a holistic esthetician.

As a holistic esthetician, I’ve encountered a lot of clean beauty brands, but Living Libations skincare and wellness products hold a special place in my heart and always will. I have never been able to find another brand I love wholeheartedly like I do with this line.

I’m going to break it down into 5 categories: skincare, hair care, oral care, makeup, and body care. I will share products from each category and give you my honest thoughts and recommendations.

About Living Libations

Living Libations is founded by Nadine Artemis who is an absolute gem. She is an encyclopedia of information when it comes to all things health and wellness.

I highly recommend you listen to literally any podcast she’s featured in. You will be amazed by her and her knowledge. She’s so inspiring and one of a kind.

All Living Libations products are free from artificial and synthetic colors, preservatives, fragrances, and petrochemicals. Every product is made up of active ingredients. There are absolutely no fillers or diluters.

The essential oils and supercritical extracts are highly concentrated. Some of the botanicals even require a whole plant to create just one drop of oil!

They produce their essential oils by using a long and slow distillation at the lowest temperature possible and all of the fatty oils are cold-pressed and completely unheated.

I love that you can understand every ingredient when looking at their labels. There are no weird numbers or synthetic materials listed in the products EVER.

The packaging is also super sustainable. Everything comes in glass containers and most items have wooden or PCR plastic caps.

You would assume something sustainable may not have an appealing aesthetic, but I think their branding, bottles, colors, and entire vibe is so cool. They all look so pretty in my bathroom😍.

Now let’s get into the product reviews where I’ll tell you my completely honest opinions! Spoiler alert: I’m in love with almost everything I’ve tried☺️

Skincare

The Best Skin Evers are by far the best products I have ever used. They are an all-in-one cleanser, exfoliant, and moisturizer. It’s literally the only product you will ever need!

The best ones I recommend are the seabuckthorn, sandalwood, rose, and frankincense. Each one targets different skin types and concerns, but really anyone can use them. I personally love the seabuckthorn and rose.

Another amazing product similar to the best skin ever oils is the Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever Balm. You can also use this to cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize your skin, but instead of an oil, it’s a thick, creamy balm.

It’s perfect to use in the winter or if your skin is especially dry. It’s also a fabulous makeup remover.

If you’re acne prone, sensitive, or ever experience irritation, the ozonated dew dab balm is the perfect moisturizer for you. There is seriously no other product out there like it. The smell is divine and the ingredients are so powerful to promote healing. I have it in my lineup at all times.

I will list some skincare items I have tried that just weren’t for me. These products didn’t wow me like the others based on various reasons like the smell, texture, or feel:

Hair Care

Living Libations offers 2 different types of shampoo and conditioner depending on your hair type. The seabuckthorn shampoo and conditioner is for clarifying while the spirulina shampoo and conditioner is for smoothing and moisturizing.

I liked to use the seabuckthorn shampoo and conditioner once a week for deep cleaning and the spirulina shampoo and conditioner 2 times a week to soften my hair.

The Seabuckthorn Styling Serum is sooo good for frizz, shine, and split ends. It’s an aloe-based formula so you’re hair will never feel heavy or greasy after applying it.

You can apply it from the roots to the ends for a super glossy look or just focus on areas that have more frizz or breakage.

The other hair care product I tried was the scalp tonic. I loved the smell, but I didn’t notice any difference in my scalp or hair while using it.

Fun fact: you can use one of the best skin evers as an oil for your scalp and hair, They work really well as a hair oil.

Oral Care

When I switched to Living Libations oral care the health of my mouth improved dramatically. I used to have bleeding, inflamed gums and I would get tonsil stones and canker sores often.

Now I never get canker sores or have bleeding gums and I rarely get tonsil stones anymore. Their oral care is truly the best.

The ozonated gum gel is what really transformed the health of my mouth. Also, if your mouth tends to be sensitive, the frankincense floss and toothpaste will help so much. They provide so much healing and relief.

Makeup

Living Libations doesn’t offer traditional makeup like foundation and concealer. Instead, they make really beautiful blushes, shimmers, and glosses that I have never seen anywhere else.

If you have oily skin like me, I would use these products sparingly because they are oil-based. Sometimes I use too much and then my face gets oily by the end of the day, but that is the only complaint I have. They’re all so beautiful I recommend them all!

The Raven Maven mascara is seriously the best mascara I have ever tried. The way it coats the lashes and holds a curl is perfect. The formula also has peptides that help to nourish and strengthen the lashes.

Even though it is a clean mascara, it does not run because it is water-resistant. I have tried so many other clean mascaras but none are nearly as good as this one.

I used mine for two years before I had to buy a new one. I’ve never experienced a mascara that doesn’t dry out and flake in a couple months. The fact that this lasted me two whole years before needed to replace it speaks volumes about their formula.

Body Care

Since all of Living Libations products are so natural and clean, you can use any of their products on the face and body; however, some products I found were better suited for my body than my face. These included the clarifying clay soap, peppermint exfoliating scrub, and ginger exfoliating scrub. They were just a little bit too harsh for my sensitive skin, but they worked awesome for my body!

My favorite body product I tried was the Seabuckthorn All Over Lotion. It’s so hydrating and smells divine. I liked to mix it with my seabuckthorn oil for the perfect all-over moisturizer.
