How to Oil Cleanse
Step 1:
To get started, you first need an oil. I recommend using any Living Libations Best Skin Ever. Some of my personal favorites are the Seabuckthorn and Rose oils!

Grab your oil and a washcloth or cotton round. I personally opt for organic biodegradable cotton rounds because reusable items tend to break me out.

Step 2:
Wet the cotton round under warm water.
Step 3:
Squeeze out any excess water. You want the cotton round to be wet, but not dripping.
Step 4:
Apply a few pumps of oil onto the cotton round.
Step 5:
Massage the oil and cotton round into your skin. You want to go in gentle circular motions over the entire face. Once you feel like you have gotten a good initial cleanse, flip the cotton round over and repeat steps 2-5 all over again.
Step 6:
There is no need to rinse the skin after you oil cleanse, but if you need more moisture, then you can wet your hands and apply additional drops of oil to your skin.
Pro tip: Instead of applying more water to your hands, opt for a toner or hydrating spray such as rose water, then follow with more oil.
Some Things to Keep In Mind:
- Oil cleansing is not an exact science, so just see what you like and what works for you! Some people may feel like they need very little oil to feel clean while others may feel like they need a lot of oil to get a nice deep cleanse. Everyone’s skin is different.
- When you first start oil cleansing you may feel dehydrated, but your skin will soon acclimate and balance out.
- Try applying your oil to your body after a bath or shower. Leave your skin wet then apply the oil all over. Your skin will feel so soft and moisturized!
