Growing Up With Acne
I got my first period when I was eleven, which of course is never fun for a young girl, but even worse was what followed: acne.
Picture this: you’re a girl and you just started middle school. All of a sudden your appearance matters, but since you have acne you feel ugly, unpopular, insecure, and humiliated.
You look at everyone else and envy their clear skin. Some girls complain about their “breakouts,” but you wish your pimples were as tiny as theirs. You keep thinking “Next year I’ll have clear skin. In high school I’ll have clear skin. Surely by college my acne will be gone.”
Spoiler alert at 25 I still suffered from acne.
I used to cry in middle school and high school about my skin, but eventually, I just became numb. I was used to it. And I kind of gave up on the fact that I might have clear skin one day.
Everyone who struggles with acne says the same thing: “I tried everything, and nothing works!”
I used to believe that too. Then I started really diving into what healthy eating truly means.
From Vegan To Animal Based To Carnivore
At the start of 2023, I went vegan. I fell into the trap that plants were healthier than meat and vegans were the healthiest people on the planet.
I failed to realize that this is a complete scam that the government wants you to believe in order to keep you sick. Unfortunately, I found this out the hard way.
I would wake up every morning with a splitting headache, I was fatigued, I would randomly get dizzy, my anxiety was crazy, my ADHD was getting worse, and I would feel breathless from the mildest form of exertion.
I knew something had to change. My acupuncturist/doctor suggested I should incorporate animal foods slowly back into my diet, so I went to the farmers market and bought some eggs and meat.
As soon as I ate the animal foods it was like a switch went off in my body. My headaches disappeared, my sleep got better, I didn’t get exhausted so easily, and I had more energy.
I couldn’t believe how deprived my body had been. I vowed to never be vegan or promote veganism ever again.
Time went on and I discovered the animal based diet. I was so intrigued. No vegetables? I was skeptical but gave it a shot for 30 days.

I loved it. I couldn’t believe how great I felt just by eating meat, eggs, dairy, and fruit. However, despite how good I felt, my skin was not getting any better.
I was so confused because I was eating the healthiest I ever had in my whole life. My body felt good, my mental health was doing well. Why was my skin not clearing up?
I realized I needed to take drastic measures if I wanted drastic change. So I went carnivore.
Is Carnivore The Cure For Acne?
I want to be clear. I suffered from acne ever since I got my first period, which was 15 years ago. I tried the craziest things in those 15 years to get rid of my acne. None of them could cure it.
3 days into the carnivore diet my acne was gone. For 15 years I’ve been battling my acne, but after going carnivore for a few days my acne was completely eradicated.
I still can’t believe it when I look in the mirror and see an acne-free face. I wish someone had told me about this diet years ago. I wish more people knew that acne really can be cured.
If you suffer from acne I’m here to tell you that carnivore works. If you’re sick of your acne like I was and you’ve tried everything else, try going carnivore.

I know you’re probably going to doubt these pictures, so I want to be completely honest with you.
No, I did not use any filters. No, I did not photoshop them (I don’t even know how to do that). No, I am not wearing any foundation or coverup makeup.
These photos are completely raw because I want to show you how well carnivore worked to clear my acne and I know it will do the same for you!
I still struggle with hyperpigmentation that was leftover from my acne which will take time to go away. The most important thing to take away from these photos is that there is no more active acne on my face!
Other Benefits of Going Carnivore
Besides beautiful clear skin that I actually love to look at in the mirror now, I experienced other positive changes that totally shocked me.

- Better, more stable mood
- Decreased anxiety
- Better focus and mental clarity
- Ability to breathe through both nostrils (my left one was always clogged before)
- No more body odor
- Flat stomach (I always had a little pooch since middle school)
- A more positive outlook on life
Does Everyone Need To Go Carnivore?
Not everyone needs to be on the carnivore diet to experience these great benefits. I actually recommend the animal based diet for most people because fruit and raw honey are really good for you.
Eventually, I plan to try adding back certain animal-based foods like fruit and honey one by one to see which foods my body can handle.
Whether you’re carnivore or not, eating a diet that consists mostly of meat and animal fat is the best way to achieve healthy skin, body, and mind because these nutrients are the most bioavailable to humans. Carnivore and animal based eating is also the most biologically appropriate diet for humans because this is how we ate for millions of years.
I’m no doctor or scientist. I’m a holistic esthetician speaking from my experience, but after trying countless different ways to get rid of my acne and feel my absolute best, I think I have enough credibility to recommend going carnivore because this was the only thing that has truly worked to heal my body.
