Being animal based does not mean you have to give up your favorite foods! I’m telling you this animal based pizza is way better than delivery.
This animal based pizza has become a staple in our household. It’s got all the right textures and flavors that come together to make the most delicious animal based meal.
One of my favorite takeout meals growing up was BBQ chicken pizza from Papa John’s. This animal based pizza blows Papa John’s out of the water, and I know you and your family are going to love it too!

BBQ Chicken Animal Based Pizza

What You Need To Make This Animal Based Pizza
Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 1 lb ground chicken (pasture raised, corn & soy free is best)
- 1 organic pasture raised egg (corn & soy free is best)
- 1/2 cup shredded parmeseano reggiona
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper
For the pizza:
- Primal Kitchen unsweetened BBQ sauce
- Organic frozen pineapple chunks
- Sugar-free bacon chopped into bite-sized pieces
- Chopped red onion (if well-tolerated)
- Chopped green pepper (if well-tolerated)
Equipment:
- A bowl
- A fork to spread and shape the crust
- A spoon to spread the sauce
- A baking sheet
- Parchment paper (I use reusable silicone parchment paper)
How To Make Animal Based Pizza
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Combine ground chicken, egg, cheese, and spices in a bowl.
Stir together until everything is well incorporated.
Lay your parchment paper on the baking sheet. Spread the chicken. mixture over the parchment paper and use a fork to shape the pizza crust.
Bake the crust for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
While the crust is cooking, saute the bacon bits, chopped pineapple, and optional veggies in a cast iron pan for about 10 minutes until they are soft and cooked to your liking.
Top the cooked crust with BBQ sauce, pineapple, bacon, and veggies. Spread a layer of organic mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake for another 9-11 minutes until cheese is melted. Let it cool before slicing. Drizzle some raw honey over your pizza slice for a little sweet kick!
