1. Sun Gaze In The Morning
Getting sun in your eyes in the morning is important for our ability to fall and stay asleep at night. So as soon as the sun comes up, try to soak up all those beneficial rays!
And don’t worry about UV exposure. As long as you are getting sunshine close to when the sun rises, you will only be absorbing infrared light, not UV light.
2. Prioritize Sleep
Sleep is essential for our health and well-being, although this is easier said than done. If you struggle with insomnia, you may have underlying conditions.
Some may be as simple as a lack of magnesium, while others may be more serious like sleep apnea. It’s important to address these issues so you can get that good, deep sleep!
3. Avoid Vegetable Oils
Vegetable oils are in almost all processed foods. They include:
- Canola
- Corn
- Sunflower
- Safflower
- Soybean
- Cottonseed
- Rice Bran
- Rapeseed
These oils contribute to many health problems including obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and cancer. They’re slowly killing us, but they’re in almost every single food at the grocery store.
It’s best to swap out these oils with grass-fed beef tallow, ghee, avocado oil, butter, and coconut oil.
Also, try to cook your own meals often so you know exactly what’s going into your food! Almost all restaurants (even “healthy” ones) use vegetable oils in their cooking.
4. Drink Water With Electrolytes
Did you know drinking water without electrolytes can actually dehydrate you? Even if you drink tons of water, drinking water without the right minerals will only lead to dehydration.
That’s why I always put LMNT electrolytes in my water. They’re super tasty and are only made with what your body needs. No sugar or other unnecessary ingredients.

5. Move Your Body Daily
Take the stairs, stretch, stand up, dance! Any form of movement is better than sitting for hours on end day after day.
6. Take A Break
We live in a society that is so fast-paced and prioritizes work over rest. Most people don’t even take a lunch break; however, it’s important to set aside time to allow ourselves to rest for a few minutes.
There are studies that prove when you take breaks it actually makes your day more productive rather than trying to push through the whole day without stopping.
I definitely notice a difference in my productivity when I take a few breaks during the day. It gives your brain a reset so you’re able to think more clearly!
7. Go For A Walk
There’s something about going for a walk that is so therapeutic. You’re out in nature, moving your body, and it takes very little effort compared to most forms of exercise.
Even just walking for 20 minutes has so many wonderful benefits to our bodies.
8. Limit or Ditch Caffeine
Caffeine has been shown to contribute to insomnia, high blood pressure, anxiety, increased stomach acidity, dizziness, headaches, and increased heart rate. It’s best to limit caffeine or quit drinking it altogether.
9. Try Mushrooms
Medicinal mushrooms are so powerful for our health. They help with brain fog, memory, sleep, immunity, digestion, and so much more. You name your concern and I guarantee mushrooms can make it better.
I like Life Cykel mushroom tonics because they are very high quality and bioavailable. You can put a dropper in your drink or take the tonic straight in your mouth. I like to put it in my tea in the mornings!
10. Get Enough Protein
Protein is made up of amino acids, which build and repair our muscles and bones. They also create hormones and enzymes and give us energy.
If you don’t get enough protein in your diet, it will affect your muscle mass, mood, immune system, appetite, bones, and more.
Getting a sufficient amount of protein in your diet is crucial for a strong, healthy body.
One of the best ways to get protein is to eat lots of animal based foods such as eggs and grassfed meat because these foods have the most bioavailable nutrients for humans.
